Journey’s End?

I captured this in 2012 during a “starting over” phase. While the location is lost to memory, the feeling of loss and uncertainty is unforgettable.

Welcome to My SAHD Journey

Thank you for being curious about the Stay-At-Home-Dad experience. Whether you’re already SAHDing, discussing the SAHD option with your partner, or seeking advice about supporting your SAHD, this blog is a good place to start. Rather than taking the self-helpy approach that many other writers do, I intend to focus on the daily challenges SAHDs face and offer whatever knowledge I have or can be dredged up to help make life easier.

I ask that you be patient with me as I too often take the scenic route when it comes to things that matter. I’m a storyteller at heart, and there are so many stories to share – some good and some bad, but they are all worth telling.

My writing can be dramatic and often leans towards heavier topics.  According to those closest to me, I am tragically unfunny. My three-year-old, thankfully, has a different opinion. He laughs and claps every time I sing to him at bath time. His joy fills me with the hope that someone somewhere will find something on these pages that will bring a chuckle or lightens the day.

(Please leave a comment if it’s you. I could use the confidence boost.)
